First biannual event 22-23 November 2011

“THE ANTWERP FORUM: Linking business between China and Europe” on November 22 & 23, 2011, aims to provide European and Chinese managers with a forum for exchanging ideas on business cooperation and to promote Antwerp as a leading European location for Chinese enterprises. This year will be the first edition of a biannual event in Antwerp. Moreover, the launch of this important business forum coincides with the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Belgium and P.R. China.

The forum is organised by Antwerp Management School, the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC) with the support of Flanders Investment & Trade (F.I.T.). These three organisations will combine their expertise in order to provide the participants with a better and more profound understanding of the development trends of China’s leading industries and strategies of their internationalizing companies. The objective of the forum is to inform European companies of the opportunities and challenges of these developments and at the same time offering the possibility of mutual contacts that may lead to long term collaboration.

Besides the opportunity to get to know the opinions of high level government officials and business leaders, participants will get the chance to attend and exchange ideas in workshops where expert-panels will discuss specific and relevant sectoral and investment issues. THE ANTWERP FORUM thus strives to concentrate on both the business environment as well as corporate strategies. It will rely on managers of leading Belgian and Chinese companies as well as politicians and administrators who influence current and future business opportunities.

Most importantly the ultimate goal of THE ANTWERP FORUM is to facilitate matchmaking between the participating European and Chinese firms. B2B sessions will be set up to pursue and establish sustainable business relations between Chinese and Flemish, Belgian, European companies.
